Usually, yes. Most older North Bay homes have a 1/2 inch line sized for a tank. A tankless can pull 199,900 BTU and needs 3/4 inch pipe, or 1 inch on long runs. We size and upsize the line as part of the conversion.
Yes. New and extended gas lines require a permit and a pressure test witnessed at inspection. We pull the permit and handle the inspection.
